What happens when a grafitti artist from South Africa meets a graffiti Artist from Basel? Breeze Yoko and Tarek Abu Hageb gave an answer at six o'clock.
After their public workshop galery-owner Peter Herrmann (Berlin), art critic Christine Eyene (London) and artist Victor Mutelekesha (Oslo) discussed about contemporary African art on the market. The three discussion partners took into consideration some of the mechanisms leading to specific market trends and collecting practices. This discussion was a critical overview of levels of interaction between the international art market and the African one, of active actors, key holders and other players involved in African Contemporary Art scene. |
