"I am a fine artist working in kinetic suspensions in the form of obsessively analogue machines that require viewer input to articulate pebbles in complex motions. The motions look at various natural wave and helixp atterns and the machines act as little experience generators that force most viewers to interrogate their experience."
Biography
After a colourful youth climbing on oil-rigs, and traveling as a bicycle courier, Justin Fiske studied some physics, maths and art and decided to become a sculptor. He lives in the city of Cape Town where he grew up and still navigates the strange conflicts of African freedoms and first world aspirations. It is an intriguing place to be a creative artist. |
