Biography
Lerato Bereng was born in Maseru, Lesotho in 1986. She attended high school in Bloemfontein and continued on to study at Rhodes University. There she obtained a BA of Fine Arts in 2007, specialising in painting. |

In 2008 she was contracted as one of five Young Curators at Cape Africa Platform. On behalf of CAPE she completed a traineeship at Goodman Gallery Cape Town, as well as co-producing «Sessions Maputo» in Mozambique. Subsequently, Bereng curated «Thank You Driver», an exhibition on mini-bus taxis, which was one of three Young Curator exhibitions on the CAPE 09 Biennale in May 2009. Bereng is currently assisting on several creative projects, including «Dada South?» - an exhibition to be held in December 2009 at the South African National Gallery curated by Roger van Wyk and Kathryn Smith.
